RUP documentation skill · rup-flow 1.0
Document your system and build it from the same models¶
rup-flow teaches your AI coding agent to turn requirements into RUP models and diagrams. The free edition covers the first disciplines. rup-flow Pro covers the whole workflow, from requirements to code and from legacy code back to models, with evidence for every claim. It works with Claude, Codex, Gemini, Cursor, Copilot and any agent with a shell.

One workflow, two editions¶
Every page of this site says which edition it describes. Pages and rows marked Pro belong to rup-flow Pro; everything else is in the free edition.
Free Free¶
The simplified domain model, actors, requirements, use cases with their specification statechart, analysis classes and open questions, drawn with PlantUML. MIT licensed.
Pro Pro¶
The ranked domain model, fourteen diagram types, design, implementation and traceability, code in both directions, themes, Mermaid, the interactive explorer, stack packs, domain libraries and subagents.
Compared¶
Every diagram, document, workflow and tool, marked free or Pro, from the same catalogue the CLI prints.
Honest by construction¶
Every statement has a provenance¶
Confirmed by you, observed in code, assumed by the agent or open as a question. An assumption is never written as a fact.
Unknown rules become questions¶
Missing business rules go to open-questions.md instead of being invented to
make a document look complete.
The agent says what it did not do¶
Diagrams are not called rendered or checked unless the render ran and the result was looked at. Anything outside your edition is named, not improvised.
Your first minute¶
The agent asks only what it cannot know, writes the documents, draws the
diagrams and checks the result. Open docs/rup/README.md and follow the links.
